Do you live under the sea? Because we know who lives in a pineapple under the sea!
The auditions for the Spongebob Musical were held in the HSTAT auditorium Thursday November 13th at 2:30pm. There were over 30 people auditioning for the roles in the play.
“The music is very good, the message is if you work together you are able to achieve great things. Different characters have different styles of music and a huge range of genres!” says Ms. Musacchio, the director for the Theater club.

Ms. Kissinger, the Theater club’s choreographer, was at auditions teaching the students parts of dance routines that they needed to know.
The crowd was different this year. A large portion of the cast from the 2025 spring production of Beetlejuice either graduated or decided not to come back.
“I came into the audition with no expectations, hardly having been in Theater. Last time I was in a theater was in the third grade,” said James Creen, a new 11th grade student who now has the role of Patrick Star.
The theater rehearsal process is long and intricate, with the process incredibly detail-focused. “So we usually start in December, then we rehearse till April. It takes a lot since we have to learn the music, the dances, the lines, and then you have to put it all together. It takes a long time but it’s definitely worth it,” Ms. Musacchio said.
With rehearsals in full effect, be sure to check back in on the Hive for updates!
