The Video Game Club runs on Tuesdays from 2:30 – 3:30. Advised by Mr. Tan, one of HSTAT’s science teachers, the club prioritizes friendly competition in a safe environment. By allowing students to connect with one another through all genres of video games.
So why should you come to this club? Our team went and personally asked the teacher and students why they joined the club.
“It’s a way for kids to connect through gaming. Kids at home often get interrupted by homework and chores. This is an hour where kids can play uninterrupted and without parents and other adults nagging about them. Whether you like to play on a phone, playstation, or console, you are welcome to join.”
“For me, it was one of my first time experiencing a club and since I grew up with games. Since I loved video games I figured I would join and found lots of people just like me. What the club provides is for students to have available resources and time to play fun games.”
