For the third consecutive season, our boys soccer team is going to the PSAL playoffs.
With a record of 7-1, they look primed to make a deep run. Last years result of losing in the round of 16 is still on the mind of every player, especially Anid Ibroci, who says that last seasons playoff exit still is on his mind.
Since the loss against Leon M. Goldstein, we have beaten Petrides High School 6-2, William E. Grady High School 5-0 and Sunset Park High 1-0.
The first time we interviewed Head Coach Mr. Rubin he had said “hopefully we’ll make it to playoffs”.
Now, Coach Rubin’s mindset is different. He doesn’t just want to make it high in the bracket, but he wants to win.
“This year is more serious compared to last, we have to take it more serious than we normally do but we still have to make it fun.”
Tele will be facing Bushwick Campus in the first round of the PSAL this Saturday at 3:30.
